New website showcases global health work across the University of California

July 13, 2017

The University of California Global Health Institute (UCGHI) has launched a newly updated website to showcase UCGHI’s work as well as the global health projects and programs from the 10 University of California campuses.

UCGHI’s updated site offers easy-to-find research, publications, training opportunities, event announcements and news stories. It also includes an interactive map that connects visitors directly to global health centers and programs on each of the UC campuses. The new website, updated with improved functionality across devices, is located at the same address: ucghi.universityofcalifornia.edu.

"The University of California is a major force in academic global health, and the new website captures the depth and breadth of our research, education and opportunities for involvement in global health activities,” said Dr. Thomas J. Coates, director of UCGHI.

"The website represents UCGHI’s connection and commitment to supporting and promoting global health work on our campuses,” he said. “We hope it will enable faculty and students and members of the UC community to learn about global health efforts and explore opportunities for engagement."

UCGHI concurrently is launching an email newsletter, The Imperative, featuring a monthly roundup of global health stories and announcements. Whether through visiting the new website or subscribing to The Imperative, UCGHI followers will be in the know on the latest global health news from across the UC system.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the website and sign up for UCGHI’s monthly email newsletter, The Imperative.
