UCGHI Global Health Education Director Explores New Collaboration Opportunities at Graphic Era University, India
UCGHI Global Health Education Director, Dr. Oladele Ogunseitan, recently traveled to Graphic Era University in Dehradun, India—one of the country’s highly ranked academic and professional training institutions—to explore new pathways for global health collaboration.
During his visit, Dr. Ogunseitan met with students and faculty from the Department of Biotechnology and Department of Microbiology, many of whom expressed enthusiastic interest in pursuing opportunities in global health. A dedicated meeting with Professor Durgaprasad Gangodkar, Dean of International Affairs, focused on developing potential educational exchange programs. Both institutions see alignment in their goals to strengthen global health education, research exposure, and international collaboration.
Dr. Ogunseitan also toured the university’s newly opened medical center and School of Medicine, a state-of-the-art facility designed to expand clinical training and research capacity in the region.
This visit highlights UCGHI’s ongoing commitment to building global partnerships that create meaningful, accessible opportunities for students and faculty. As collaboration discussions progress, the Institute looks forward to engaging University of California and international learners interested in global health education.
