Student networking reception
On behalf of the UC Global Health Day Student Planning Committee and UC San Diego Students for Global Health, we would like to invite all current and recent UC students to the UC Global Health Day Student Networking Reception. This pre-conference Student Networking Reception is an opportunity for students from all UC campuses to come together, network and meet other conference attendees before the UC Global Health Day conference.
The event will feature a Global Health Career Panel, question & answer session with global health professionals, socializing with fellow students, food and fun!
When: Saturday, April 21 at 4:30-6:30pm
Location: The Forum room (4th floor) at UC San Diego Price Center
Cost: Free for current and recent UC students
Eligibility: Undergrad, grad students and recent UC alumni registered for UC Global Health Day are eligible to attend this event

UC San Diego Global Health Institute field trip to Tijuana clinics
The UC San Diego Global Health Institute is sponsoring a one day guided bus trip to Tijuana on Saturday, April 21, to visit programs that provide prevention and treatment of HIV, TB, STIs and abscesses to people who use drugs and sex workers. The group will be visiting the following three sites: Health Frontiers in Tijuana, Wound Clinic Tijuana and Prevencasa.
When: Saturday, April 21 at 8am-4pm.
Cost: $10 donation requested to reserve your spot, transportation from UCSD is provided
Eligibility: Participation is open to UC Global Health Day registrants.
Registration: Please reserve your spot by completing the following two forms and submitting your $10.00 donation by April 15, space is limited (25 spots available - first come first serve):

Special seminar
The UCGHI Planetary Health Center of Expertise is sponsoring a special seminar featuring Tord Kjellstrom, PhD (MED), MMENG, a visiting fellow from the Australian National University. Come hear about how climate change threats are affecting working people in various ways and the type of work that is being done to enhance the understanding of these planetary health challenges.
